Please explain how the winter temps affect electricity use. Heating only accounts for 4% of household heating sources in Germany [1].

My parent's comment was about total energy usage.


That doesn't make sense, though, as the charts refer to electricity generation, not primary energy.


Oh, I'm sorry. I took "total energy consumed" too literally. You've been right and my comment doesn't make that much sense for electricity.
