my longterm homelab of ESXi 6.x on Intel NUC with unlimited license hack recently blew up (repeated power surges, no UPS). went with Intel NUC again but proxmox instead for the rebuild and its been a dream so far. i don't miss ESXi or Vmware in general one bit.
This is my setup: Nuc +Proxmox+ K3S. My goal is to set up a Kubernetes Cluster spanning 2 NUCs with K3S to build my playground for any application I decide to develop.
