There are no dead ends, but it is possible to play yourself into a state that looks like one. Without spoiling anything I would wager you haven't discovered a mechanic that's in the game yet. There is, as far as I can tell, one dead end: if you run out of money near the start of the game and have exhausted your options for getting more, then you'll have to revert to an earlier save. It's not particularly easy to do though, in my opinion.
