Let me help you out: one country invading the other, destroying homes and lives. But that should not concern you much as apparently it is not you who is under attack.
When Israel invaded Gaza, the initial causus belli was the Hamas-led attack on Israel and Israelis, including defenceless civillians at a music festival. There was strong worldwide agreement and support of Israel at that time.
Where Israel took that combat, and what emerged subsequently of Israel's flagrant ignoring of direct threat warnings and assessments from both its own intelligence services and those of foreign countries (notably Egypt) markedly damped down that initial support.
Self-defence is a legitimate grounds for combat and invasion under currently prevailing international norms and law. Disproportionate attacks, most especially on civilians and civil infrastructure not so much. I'll grant that the situation in Gaza is complicated by numerous factors, but not nearly so much in any plausible interpretation as Israel has made its case.
This isn't a case for either war as Israel transacted it or unilateral peace on Israel's part, but there's marked daylight between those positions.
