Imagining the Dinosaurs: How art, science combined to bring a lost world to life (worldhistory.substack.com)

I have been fascinated with dinosaur paintings as long as i can think of. There is a wonderful book by Taschen on the subject which has a lot more of these illustrations/ Paleoart. The Apple documentary by Jon Faveau is also highly recommended. Are there any institutions trying to accurately vizualize dinosaurs in a scientific manner? Archeologists usually focus on single facts but dont seem to be so interested in lifelike images. VFX Movies on the otherhand sadly don’t care for the facts most of the time. Everytime i go to the local paleo musem i start to think we could do a lot better and the kids would love it too.

If, like me, you've always lamented that Jurassic Park sequels failed to update their dinosaurs with the science - particularly given the original's emphasis on relating dinosaurs to birds - then you may enjoy this short clip from Jurassic Park, updated with realistically feathered, birdlike dinosaurs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbCQxBTcyRk
