This is the third post that I have seen about the issues with "vibe coding" and it is not a surprise to see a gradual backlash from it; because it is NOT software engineering in the first place.
This is also what happens when the VC hype brigade just listens to AI researcher influencers who are excellent with research, but instead creating throw away code and encouraging "slopware" because it is gluing code up without maintenance, testing and verifying that the code works.
Vibe coding is yet another way in promoting the proliferation of more slopware rather than creating robust and mature software that lasts for years.
It has zero place in areas of high risk like defense systems or healthcare.
