These are a bunch of context-less quotes that are entirely irrelevant to the article. The article didn't say that the purpose of life was to move fast. It was saying that there are benefits to moving fast in the business world.

The zen story also sounds like complete hogwash. All else equal, if you work harder, you will improve faster.
