What would the cost of allowing random landing page generation be? Alternatively, an examples/showcase page could be useful in presenting the value proposition before potential user commits.
Thanks for the suggestion. It was a design decision I made to not allow landing pages that are not assigned to a user. I will consider rethinking that.
> Whether or not you want to communicate "in the clearest way possible" is a choice.
This is far from "clearest way possible", it's not even in the middle. This choice impedes communication which makes is less useful, by your definition.
> But only the author/designer can speak to whether the design was successful in it's aims
I find it difficult to believe that the author's aim was to share a story in such way that's unnecessarily harder to consume, by a large portion of people otherwise interested in their thoughts.
Anti-design[1] is a movement which rejects the over-sanitation of design. Type a random query into Google and click through the first few links. What will you see? An endless sea of black-on-white, sans-serif, grids of text.
Anti-design is effective in making things memorable and engaging. When I attended Davis, I first thought the Social Sciences Building[2] was a bit of an eye sore. It was intentionally designed to be challenging. Now it is one of my most vivid memories of the campus.
You find it difficult to believe? The person clearly worked hard to achieve this aesthetic. The font even sort of matches the illustrations. This is clearly intentional from my pov. This aesthetic was more important to the author than ease of reading/consumption.
The limitations of this tool are obvious from the author's documentation. Plus, a door lock would prevent this from working, so if you're living in a recent house and have thick door and lock the door, you don't have to worry about this attack vector. It's strongly suggested to also hot glue your USB ports shut for added security.

I don't see any reason to stop at my USB ports. Take a hot glue gun with you where ever you go, and glue them all shut as soon as you find them. Help make the world a better place.
> It's strongly suggested to also hot glue your USB ports shut for added security.
I'll just unplug your mouse / keyboard / wifi dongle and get to the USB port that it's using. Unless you are suggesting that modern computers should ship with zero USB ports.
All the cards should be hot glued into place, and any extra connectors hotglued as well. The solution to not enough hotglue is simply more hotglue!

PS/2 is still available for mouse/keyboard (and secure). Wifi dongles are abomination. Worst case, hotglue those into the port.
Who owns the user-generated content? Would it be feasible to clone Reddit (the site) and populate it with content scraped directly from Reddit? One could potentially even claim the same username by verifying their ownership of it on Reddit. Of course it's not easy but a mass social migration might be more practical than mass segregation in hopes of something else to slowly gaining traction.
>Would it be feasible to clone Reddit (the site) and populate it with content scraped directly from Reddit?
Lol, no; this is why I rarely worry about developers encroaching on operations concerns. A completely trustworthy site (https://backlinko.com/reddit-users#how-many-comments-are-pub...) states that that reddit had 303 million posts and 2 billion comments, in 2020. Could you imagine, how long it would take, and how much you would need to spend, on compute, to scrape 5+ million comments a day, using something like Selenium? I am guessing that it's a number approaching infinity. Plus, they would figure it out and just shut you down.
It's also possible to use Twilio with their GUI "studio" to create this entire flow. I've used it as call recording system for when I need to record outgoing calls and it's worked wonderfully (and was easy to set up).
I would hire a private investigator to get some dirt on the bullies' families and then have my kid ready with a response the next time he gets called out for NOT having the latest iPhone - "Well, I might NOT have an iPhone but at least my father doesn't have a second family in Tampa" or "You might think my Android is worse than your iPhone but at least my parents didn't need to remortgage the house two times to afford it" or "Maybe your sister can get me one then with all that OnlyFans money she's making?"
I am certain this would get the right kind of attention from the bully's parents the second little Johny makes dinner talk the most uncomfortable day in HIS family's life.
Making an issue between children into a war between families doesn’t seem wise. Especially when they decide to pay you back with the same or call your boss and make things even messier
Yikes, no way. You are saying to hire a PI so they can have their child blackmail the bullies family? This is not teaching thr right thing to do in this teachable moment.
