We’re only weeks since Trump taking office. Watching the full video, I think to me it seems there’s a mismatch in the response from HN and the reality of what happened there and is happening with the war. Ultimately, people are dying everyday in this war. I wonder if it’s in the best interest of those still alive to continue fighting and dying, or settling with territory being lost. If there really is no end in sight, why continue forcing people to die.

I like to think more about the individuals than anything else. If it really is possible to no longer have them die over things they realistically won’t get back, and it’s possible to freeze the progress of Russia with where it is today, isn’t making the war stop the top priority?

Russia has broken every ceasefire/treaty so far. Lets assume Ukraine is fine conceding everything they have lost to date, who will then enforce the next treaty? Ukraine, I think correctly, knows any treaty without strong enforcement provisions is simply giving Russia time to rearm.

Finally, if making the war stop is a top priority, who is putting the pressure on Russia? Russia can pack up and go home at literally any time and stop the war. Putting the entirety of this situation from starting the war to blocking peace on Zelensky/Ukraine might as well be direct talkings points from Putin himself.

Yes, I share the same concerns. Frankly I’m not sure what can be done on long term security when Russia has demonstrated its willingness to threaten nuclear weapons. I wonder if Putin being no more would result in a different Russia, one which isn’t focused on expansionism.

I don’t think this is the intention of the U.S. negotiating a peace deal, but a pause could give time to let Ukraine and europe to build up arms. I might be wrongly optimistic but I suspect a build of arms across europe would result in a more powerful force than Russia alone.

The only permitted take is that Ukraine should fight until the rest of their men are gone along with the remainder of their territory.

This makes the vascular implants produced by Humacyte more interesting. They’re made of cells which aren’t recognized by the immune system. Humacyte is in the beginning stages of seeing if they can fit beta cells into the produced vascular implants, while remaining undetected by the immune system.

Please point the way!

It’s referring to the collaboration on the design itself.

Even that isn't true. Lots of original models/drawings have been lost, new designers interpret or reconstruct what they think Gaudi wanted to do, based on incomplete plans or where decisions weren't fully made.

Not to mention new materials are available today that are being used and new processes/workflows which change the results slightly too.

Sagrada Familia isn't a 100% implementation of the original vision, as even the original vision was incomplete when Gaudi died.

Ok, maybe he didn't specify how all the statues, doors, windows and other embellishments should look like, but the basic structure and shape (the three portals and the 18 spires which also determine how the support columns in the interior of the church are placed) is the same as in Gaudí's original plans.

Buzzword bingo isn't restricted to software. The statement just says "Gaudi was a great architect". But it sounds more impressive to talk about "posthumous collaboration", especially if you don't analyze it.

Sometimes people say things indirectly.

In this case what they are saying is that Gaudi’s design sense is so unique and iconoclastic that it’s essentially impossible to mix it with other styles of design.

The original statement still makes sense, though, if you correctly interpret it as critique and warning.

> Sagrada Familia isn't a 100% implementation of the original vision

That's what makes it more interesting and fascinating.

As someone who has built chatbots used by businesses, your wording is very misleading. A chatbot is very different than an embedded form. If this project is for the latter, you should use that verbiage.

What if traffic lights emitted their status? Maybe this is already done; if it isn’t, it seems like doing so would greatly improve the safety of autonomous vehicles.

Ignoring timelines, I’d say every single one of your predictions will become a reality. I think for a lot of folks, these integrations of AI into existing things seems natural, intuitive and common-sensical. I’m not sure why there’s such a mass of folks denying any of these things.

I’ve considered quitting my job and pursuing it full-time. Being an early adopter here seems like a sure fire way to succeed. I’m curious what your journey has been. I’m launching my product next week. Have a single customer signed on with a plan to scale it out, should the results come back positive.

Are they being deployed today? Super exciting idea.

Drones have been used for crop monitoring for a while now. Using the aerial footage to determine the parts of crops in most need of specific resources such as pesticides, fertilizers, or hydration. Something a bit more automated like what this guy's talking about seems like it should be in use today or, if not, very soon. I remember reading about this stuff several years ago around 2018-2019 when I had a drone and looking at ways to make money with them. Of course, it may not be in widespread use.

At a glance, your product seems like a fit for my team. However, your landing page doesn’t give specifics. What exactly does it do?

Yes, working on that landing page right now (currently it's pretty week)!

We're building an AI data analyst. You can ask questions of your database and get answers immediately. We also auto generate entire dashboards based on common patterns (e.g. a "Sales Dashboard", "Marketing Dashboard", "Finance / Burn" etc.).

If you want to give it a try (there's a demo database embedded in the app), you can use it here: https://ui.definite.app/

I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Super excited to see you’ve actually done it! Will definitely be trying it out. Thanks for making this!
