If νεάζων merely=“νεώτερος ὤν”, the pleonasm would be too weak: perh., then, it is tinged with the notion of “νεανιευόμενος” (as in Eur. Phoen. 713: “ποῖ; μῶν νεάζων οὐχ ὁρᾷς ἃ χρῆν σ᾽ ὁρᾶν;” — said by Creon to Eteocles). Cp.
