Cobb, Thomas R. R. 1823-

Lawyer; born in Cherry Hill, Ga., April 10, 1823; graduated at the University of Georgia in 1841; member of the Confederate Congress; general in the Confederate army. His publications include Digest of the laws of Georgia; Inquiry into the law of negro slavery in the United States; and Historical sketch of slavery, from the earliest periods. He was killed in the battle of Fredericksburg, Va., Dec. 13, 1862.
