Washington, Jan, 7.

--The Star, of this evening, publishes a rumor of the intention of the Cabinet to arrest Senator Toombs for treason, for having sent dispatches to Georgia urging the seizure of the Georgia forts. The report is doubtful.

The Southern meeting, Saturday night, consisted only of certain Senators, and not members of the House.
