Mr. McMasters.

--We learn that we were in error in stating that Mr. McMasters, the editor of the Freeman's Journal, who had been sent to Fort Lafayette, is an Irishman. He is a Northern man, of old Puritan descent, who some time ago changed his religious views, and became a Roman Catholic.
