Senator Wilson

A Northern journal her aids the important fact that Senator Wilson has lately visited the Federal army, and its morale and discipline admirable. Senator Wilson is a highly competent and impartial judge! He knows as much about military matters as politicians in general, and his martial experience, confined to raising a Yankee regiment and retiring from the command as soon as it was ready for the field, makes him a suitable man to visit a camp and form intelligent opinions, after a battle. If the Yankees are improved in ‘"morale and discipline"’ by the thrashing they received at Fredericksburg, they would better try it again.--The Confederates are always ready to improve their morals and manners in this way, and are glad to find them such appreciative pupils.
