Rioting.

--Mrs. Frances Kelley, charged with participating in the riot of the 2d of April, was before the Mayor yesterday for examination. Two witnesses recognized the accused as participating in the riot and as having in her possession a large bam of bacon, which she took from Messrs. Pollard & Walker's store, after aiding in breaking the door. The Mayor gave as his opinion that the taking of goods in the riot was not larceny, because not taken secretly and clandestinely; and could not be robbery, because the persons from whom they were taken were not put in bodily fear. He therefore held her to ball to answer an indictment by the Grand Jury for a misdemeanor.
