Charged with Robbery.

--The case against Robert Davis and John Shaw, charged with robbing John Buchanan of $800 in Confederate money, on Saturday last, while he was in a state of inebriation, was again brought before His Honor the Mayor yesterday morning. George Dabney Wooten, Esq., appeared as counsel for the accused, and desired certain witnesses to be sent-for to prove the good character of his clients before a future hearing by the Mayor; but His Honor considered the evidence already elicited of such a character as to justify him in remanding Davis for further trial before the next term of the Hustings Court for felony.--Shaw was discharged from all participation in the crime, but he and Buchanan (the complainant) were held in bonds to appear as witnesses before the September term of said Court. The counsel for the accused did not seem to relish much the decision of the Mayor, and cited some case to show that partiality had been shown against one at least of his clients.
