A Republican. Game, free for sports only, is said to have been opened in the city last Saturday night, in defiance of the law, the bank being the largest known here for twenty years. Such hazards will not long escape detection, the reward offered by the Legislature being too heavy to be long disregarded by weak-minded losers. One half to the informant is a gilded bait that some one will be very apt to bite at very soon.
