--Passengers from Ivor yesterday afternoon brought up a report that the expedition of negro troops which left Norfolk in the early part of last week for a raid in the Albemarle region of North Carolina, and who have been reported in the Northern papers as being in possession of Elizabeth City, were met by our forces under Col. Griffin somewhere in the vicinity of Elizabeth City or South Mills, and a fight came off on Saturday last. The result they could not learn.--Petersburg Express.
