A Pleasures garden for convalescing soldiers.

--The large vacant lot at the north eastern corner of Leigh and 9th streets, hitherto so as lightly to look at, has recently been beautifully laid off in circular Walks and gravelled, and at this time presents a more beautiful appearance. Besides a large number of luxuriant looking trees which have been planted in different parts of the garden, there has been erected at the lower and an extensive arbor, with benches running along each side, in order to accommodate those who may wish to be seated. We learn that the object of the benevolent proprietor of this plat of ground, in improving it as he has, is that the convalescing soldiers who may be in Richmond during the summer months can have a place of recreation which will be exclusively their own.
