The maker of some fitness equipment made in Scotland with camouflage cloth [1] recently mentioned on social media that he couldn't ship his products to some countries because of the camouflage pattern. He didn't name the countries, but I assume they were on this list.
I have had no trouble ordering his products from Japan.
funnily enough, every person i saw getting stopped by police and having their bag checked was wearing camo. it isn't illegal by any means but at least anecdotally it seems like police will profile you. have you noticed that too?
Personally I think the lower the grip on power the more paranoia a government expresses. Paradoxically these prohibitions could reveal a level of freedom from government interference as there is probably low or inconsistent law enforcement.
For what it's worth, although it's "traditional" for rebels to wear camouflage clothing (and although I'm not sure we're still doing the Geneva Conventions anymore), all they really need uniform-wise is a fixed sign that clearly distinguishes them, at a distance, from civilians.
In Nigeria, you run the risk of being assaulted by random army personnel for wearing anything remotely military looking e.g. laced up shin-high boots. They simply won't pass up an opportunity to relive anyone of anything of value if they can.
