This list is heavy on the Caribbean, I wonder what makes them so jumpy about camouflage clothing?



Personally I think the lower the grip on power the more paranoia a government expresses. Paradoxically these prohibitions could reveal a level of freedom from government interference as there is probably low or inconsistent law enforcement.


For what it's worth, although it's "traditional" for rebels to wear camouflage clothing (and although I'm not sure we're still doing the Geneva Conventions anymore), all they really need uniform-wise is a fixed sign that clearly distinguishes them, at a distance, from civilians.

Rebel hack from 2003: don't wear camo. That trend was so over in 1999 anyhow.
