Pelope] es wird nur ein Pelops, der Sohn des 26.14 als Tyrann bezeichneten, nicht aus dem Heraklidengeschlechte stammenden Lykurg erwähnt; vgl. die Stelle aus Polybios zu 26.14; Diod. 27, 1: Νάβις ... ἀνεῖλε Πέλοπα τὸν Λυκούργου τοῦ βασιλεύσαντος υἱόν; der Ausdruck iusto ae legitimo ist daher, wenn der erwähnte Pelops gemeint ist, ebenso ungenau als 31.5: vetustissimum und im folgenden tu..hoc Macednico bello (s. 29.12.15; Pol. 13.6; zu 31.5), da Pelops noch während des ersten macedonischen Krieges gelebt zu haben scheint; wenigstens wird Machanidas, der ihn verdrängte, erst 27.29.9; Pol. 10.41 erwähnt. iusto ac legitimo] s. 1.48.8.
