A Detachment of the Verina Troop, who assisted in the capture of the Government surveying schooner, now anchored at Rocketts, while coming up the river, stopped a steamboat that had the stars and stripes flying, and intimating to the captain the obnoxious character of the emblem, he quickly caused it to secede, when the Verina boys proceeded on their way.
