--Two men, one a soldier and the other a citizen, got into a dispute about 2 o'clock yesterday, in Locust Alley, near T Wheeley's Ex Saloon, which from words proceeded to blows, when one (the soldier) draw a bowis knife and made at his antagonist, who retreated up the alley, firing with no effect a pistol hall at his pursuer. --The latter continued the chase, and the citizen retired into the Ballard House, thus ending the melee. Bystanders say that the military representative was intoxicated at the time.
