Returning home.

--A large number of refugees from the lower counties, who were forced to leave their domicils by the encroaching army of the Yankees, have began to return to their homes, to find them, in many instances, utterly laid waste. Many of these unfortunate people, who had, by a life of hard labor, accumulated enough to render their declining years comfortable, have been utterly ruined by the vandals, and now find themselves as poor as when they started in life. Truly, the vicissitudes of war are heartrending.
